About Our Restorative Dentistry in Canyon Country, CA
Our goal is to help you restore your smile’s health and function, no matter what it’s been through in the past. Together, you and our Canyon Country dentist will create a personalized treatment plan that details the best course of therapy. You play a key role in developing your care plan, as your goals, vision, budget, and timeline are all taken into account. Depending on what your smile requires, we may recommend one or a combination of the following treatments:
Dental Fillings
Fillings restore areas of the tooth structure that have decayed, creating voids inside of the tooth. Removing the cavity and filling that space prevents the decay from expanding deeper into the tooth or adjacent teeth.
Dental Crowns
Sometimes called “caps,” crowns cover and protect teeth that are structurally too weak to withstand normal biting and chewing. You might need a crown if you have a large cavity, severe tooth wear, recent root canal treatment, or a dental implant.
Fixed Dental Bridges
A bridge serves two purposes: replacing missing teeth and reinforcing the teeth on either side of the missing one(s). The teeth on either end of the bridge serve as a functional crown, working to suspend the replacement “tooth” between them.
Inlays and Onlays
Lab-made restorations like inlays and onlays (sometimes called “three-quarter crowns” or “indirect fillings”) provide additional reinforcement for teeth that are too weak for a filling but don’t quite require the full coverage of a complete crown.
Dentures and Partial Dentures
Affordably replace all of your teeth with a custom-fitted, removable prosthesis. Full and partial dentures are available. Each one is designed for comfort, security, and an attractive look.
Root Canal Therapy
An abscessed or cracked tooth with an exposed nerve must be treated endodontically. Root canal therapy is the last line of defense against complete tooth loss. Thanks to effecting numbing medications, endodontic treatments are just as comfortable as getting a filling.
Dental Extractions
When a tooth is severely diseased or non-restorable, we may recommend removing it altogether and replacing it with a dental implant, bridge, or partial denture. Extracting problematic teeth can help prevent the spread of infection and decay.
